  1. Take 3 Tablespoons Oil of your choice
  2. Get 4 Capfuls of Apple Cider Vinegar (optional)
  3. Provide 6 1/4 cups water
  4. Prepare 2 Tablespoons Parsley Flakes
  5. Get 2 Tablespoons Basil Leaves (minced)
  6. Take 3 Tablespoons (non-spicy) Chili Powder
  7. Prepare Pinch Sea Salt
  8. Take 1/2 Tablespoon Curry Powder
  9. Use 1 Pound Chicken Wings
  10. Take 1 bag Frozen Okra (9 oz) [I got from Dollar Tree]
  11. Use Rice (optional)
  12. Provide 1 Cup White Rice
  13. Get 1.5 Cups Water
  14. Get Pinch Salt
Steps to make Chicken & Okra Soup:
  1. First cut chicken into sections separating wing tip from drumstick and flat. Lightly season chicken with pinch of each seasoning. Set aside.
  2. While preparing chicken, heat oil in deep pot over medium heat.
  3. After oil has been on/heating up for about 2-3 minutes add chicken to pot(being careful not to drop in or oil could splash)
  4. Fry/sear chicken for 5-7 minutes ensuring each side is cooked and chicken gains slight golden brown color.
  5. Next add the remainder of your seasonings as well as the 6 1/4 cups water and apple cider vinegar to pot with chicken. (There should still be some oil in the bottom of the pot)
  6. Cook (boiling) over medium high heat for 25-30 minutes until flavors marry and flavors become aromatic.
  7. After chicken and soup has been boiling for about 30 minutes, add okra and boil for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Soups done!
  9. Rice instructions (optional)
  10. Add 1.5 cups of water and pinch of salt to small pot. Bring to boil over medium-high heat.
  11. Once boiling add rice to pot and stir occasionally until water has been absorbed/cooked off. (I like to add a small dash or butter or oil when water is almost fully out)
