Instructions to make Orange Pulao:
  1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 1/2 hour. Discard the soaked water. In skillet add & heat ghee. Add cinnamon sticks cloves and cardamoms (little open),bay leaf,saute for 1 min.
  2. Add cashewnuts halves, raisins and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add soaked basmati rice and saffron strands, mix well. Saute for 5 mins on medium flame.
  4. Add 1 cup water and cover and cook for 15 mins on slow flame.
  5. After 15 mins add salt and sugar..mix well. Now add orange juice to parboiled basmati rice.Mix well. Cover and cook for 15 mins on slow flame.
  6. Serve Hot sweet and tangy Orange Pulao, garnishing with orange rinds.
