The ingredients needed to make Oats Sooji Appe:
  1. Take Powdered Oats
  2. Use Sooji/Rava(fine)
  3. Take Curd
  4. Provide finely chopped customised veggies(onion, capsicum, carrot)
  5. Use Oil
  6. Provide chopped Cashew nuts
  7. Get Mustard seeds
  8. Use Urad Dal
  9. Use Eno
  10. Provide Salt
  11. Get Water
  12. Use Curry leaves
Steps to make Oats Sooji Appe:
  1. In a bowl, mix powdered oats and sooji with curd and some water. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat oil for tempering. Now add Urad dal, once the dal turns pink, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and chopped Cashew nuts.
  3. After 20 minutes, mix the batter nicely with some more water and make it like idli consistency. Now add the tempering and all the veggies and add salt as per taste, mix again
  4. Heat the appe pan and add few drops of oil in all the moulds.
  5. Finally add the eno and give the batter a gentle mix. Pour the spoonful of batter in the appe pan.
  6. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes or untill golden from one side. Then flip all the appe and cook for more 2 minutes on the other side.
  7. Serve the appe with green chutney or coconut chutney.
