  1. Use 2 potatoes(medium sized) cut into cubes

  3. Use 3 shojne danta(drumsticks) cut into small pieces

  5. You need 2 medium sized karela(bitter gourd)
  6. Take 2 sweet potatoes
  7. Get 1/4 pumpkin peeled and cut into small pieces
  8. Take 10 Bori
  9. Use 1 teaspoon radhuni seeds
  10. Provide 1/2 teaspoon dhania
  11. Take 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  12. Prepare 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  13. Prepare 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  14. Use 2 bay leaves
  15. You need 1 teaspoon panch phoran
  16. Get to taste Salt
  17. Provide to taste Sugar
  18. Use 1/2 cup milk
  19. Prepare As required mustard oil
  20. Take 2 teaspoon ghee
Steps to make Shukto:
  1. Grind a smooth paste of dhania, mustard and poppy seeds
  2. Heat some oil in a wok and Deep fry the baris
  3. Heat some in a wok, add panch phoran and bay leaves. Let it splutter and add the bitter gourds. Fry for a minute and then add the rest of the veggies. Add some salt as required. Saute it very well. Add the blended paste, along with ginger paste. Mix it very well for a minute or two.
  4. Add some water and cover it with a lid.
  5. When you feel that the veggies have softened and you got the desired consistency of the gravy, add the milk and some sugar. Let it be sweetish
  6. Add some ghee. Mix it very well.
