The ingredients needed to prepare Creamy Chicken:
- Prepare 6 piece chicken pack
- Use 250 g packet of bacon
- You need 250 g mushrooms - chopped
- Take 50 ml fresh cream
- Take 50 ml Olive oil
- Provide Fresh parsley (to taste)
- Prepare Fresh chives (to taste)
- You need 1 glove of garlic - chopped
- Use 250 ml chicken stock
- You need 1 onion (sliced)
Steps to make Creamy Chicken:
- Pre heat the oven to 200ยฐC. Prepare the onion, garlic and parsley
- In a bowl pour over enough olive oil to coat the chicken properly. Add garlic and parsley and mix together. Transfer to a hot pan and brown the chicken (skin side first)
- After browning both sides, add some of the onions to the oven proof casserole and transfer the meat and cook until the chicken is cooked through. Roughly 25 - 30min (depending on the size)
- In the same pan the chicken was browned in, add the bacon (yes cook the bacon in the chicken grease - it will only enhance the flavor). Add the remaining onion and fry until soft. Add the mushrooms and cook until it's almost ready.
- Add the chicken stock and simmer for a few minutes. When the chicken is cooked, pour the mixture (bacon, mushroom mix) over the cooked chicken. Add the cream and let it simmer for about 10 min on low heat to give the chicken chance to absorb those juices.
- Top with fresh chives and serve with steamed veggies and rice.
